A great event in Bristol

The Bristol Centre of Reproductive Medicine (BCRM) in my home city has recently moved into a fantastic new state-of-the-art clinic close to the junction of the M5 and M4 at Aztec West, Bristol.

I was delighted to be a guest at the official opening, performed by television presenters Will Glennon and Emily Deeker, who had a baby with the support of the clinic and  be one of the speakers at their Fertility Fair – a daylong event attended by many couples and individuals seeking information.

An open invitation was  issued by the team at BCRM to anyone seeking fertility advice The programme for the day enable them to meet leading fertility experts, attend presentations, browse exhibitor stalls, take a tour of the Centre and have a mini consultation, all free of charge.

Some of the UK’s leading fertility experts gave insights into many aspects of fertility issues and treatments, with a dedicated session aimed at people interested in egg donation treatment and another on treatment options for female couples and single women about using donor sperm services.

I did a session on how it all began and told the story of my Mum and Dad and the pioneers of IVF to show how things have developed over the last 44 years.
