Return to Stern magazine

In August 1978 my face took up the whole of the front cover of Stern Magazine in Germany, announcing my arrival in the world.

This August former US President Donald Trump was the cover subject but I made an appearance on the inside back cover as the German media caught up with what I have been doing for the last 46 years!

My mother kept a copy of that original 1978 magazine in the bottom of her wardrobe all her life along with other precious pieces of paperwork relating to my birth. It has now been deposited in the Bristol Archives, which are part of the Bristol Museum service for safe keeping.

It forms part of the Lesley Brown archive and can be accessed by people interested in the history of IVF.
